The ski area of Westendorf has been lift-linked to the Kitzbuhel ski area, since the 2005/06 winter season.
The ski area at Westendorf also serves as the best way to access the vast Ski Welt ski area on skis.
Offering tree-lined cruisers that rarely get above intermediate level, Westendorf offers a simple excursion to another ski area. The attractive village of Westendorf is on the fringe of the Ski Welt area and forms one linked ski path to join the Ski Welt from Kitzbuhel. A short, free bus ride is necessary from Westendorf to Brixen im Thale, but it is easily possible to ski from Kitzbuhel and into the Ski Welt for day excursions to sample the expansive terrain there. Westendorf is part of the Kitzbuheler Alpen ski pass.
