The Kitzbuheler Horn ski area

Located on the opposite side of the valley to the main ski area, the Kitzbuheler Horn is accessed via lifts from Kitzbuhel.

The second ski area accessible from Kitzbuhel is the Kitzbuheler Horn On the opposite side of the valley to the Kitzbuhel Hahnenkamm ski area, the Kitzbuheler Horn offers a good alternative and is the best area for snowboarders. Sometimes prone to the effects of sun, the Kitzbuheler Horn is accessed via the Hornbahn lift at the other end of Kitzbuhel to the Kitzbuhel Hahnekammbahn. Free ski buses link all the main accommodation areas and lifts in Kitzbuhel. The Kitzbuheler Horn is a far smaller area than the Kitzbuhel Hahnenkamm area, with fewer lifts but also fewer riders. The Kitzbuheler Horn is popular with snowboarders and offers border cross and a terrain park for snowboarders and skiers. The views from the Kitzbuheler Horn are impressive but the sunny aspect of the Kitzbuheler Horn can mean that lower slopes can lose their snow early and late in the season.
